Gregory Steven "Greg" Bleasdale
(August 22, 1956 - February 11, 1998)

WAYNESBORO - Gregory Steven Bleasdale, 41, of 1700 Brunswick Road, died on Wednesday night (Feb. 11, 1998) at Augusta Medical Center.

He was born on Aug. 22, 1956 at Waynesboro, a son of James L. and Mary (Waid) Bleasdale of Waynesboro.

He was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church, where he had been active in the drama ministry since it began.

He was a graduate of Waynesboro High School and attended Ferrum Junior College and Florida State University, Tallahassee.

He was co-owner of JGC Consultants.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Kathleen B. Gonzalez of Winnetka, Calif.; and a niece.

Following cremation, a service will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Monday at Main Street United Methodist Church by the Revs. Bill Mayton and Robert T. Knox.

The family will receive friends in the church social hall after the service.

Memorials may be made to the drama ministry of Main Street United Methodist Church, 601 W. Main St., Waynesboro, Va. 22980.

NOTE (2025-04-23): On Wednesday February 11, 1998, while an "inpatient" at "Augusta Medical Center," Greg, 41, passed away. On Wednesday February 18, 1998, Dr. James A. Long, M.D. cited Greg's "immediate cause" of death as "respiratory failure" due to "Bronchiectasis." Dr. Long further stated "Retinal-Renal Dysplasia" and "Hypertension" were "other significant conditions contributing to death but not resulting in the underlying cause."
